MEET THE 3 PILLARS
Rylie McHale
Rylie McHale began her dance training at the late age of 11 years old. After her first year dancing, she competed in the Youth American Grand Prix and was awarded a full scholarship to NYC to dance at Alvin Alley, the Grand Rapids Ballet and was also asked to travel with the director of YAGP to train in Russia. Given her age, Rylie along with her parents decided it was best to continue her training locally at the Rochester School of Dance and Michigan Ballet Theatre. After a few more years of training she was awarded many scholarships to the most prestigious ballet companies and trained with Joffrey Ballet Chicago, American Ballet Theatre in NYC and the Grand Rapids Ballet. Throughout her dance journey she suffered from several injures, and one in particular unfortunately ended her career early as a professional Ballerina. Heartbroken, she struggled with what her backup plan would be, but it was during her injury recovery that she discovered her next passion. After several months of physical therapy, she began to practice pilates and saw groundbreaking results from the combination of the two. Not only did she see results in her injury recovery, but also in her strength, flexibility, posture and body awareness that she never gained through dancing. She became passionate about sharing her story and the importance of pilates to people (dancers in particular) and started her own dance training center, “Element Dance Training” which focuses on injury prevention, strong technique, and a sturdy dance foundation. Since 2018, Rylie has been running a successful business focused on individualized training with her students and has decided to expand Element and bring on partner Tara Bombalski to open Inferno Dance Co.

Tara Bombalski
Tara began her dance training at Mary Skiba’s School of Dance at the age of three. Joining their competitive team, she was introduced to many new choreographers that helped grow her passion for pursuing dance professionally. Once she began high school, she started to take her training more seriously, leading her to travel the country with LA Dance Magic’s Company after being awarded their Teen National Title Winner in 2012. In addition to touring with LADM, Tara also spent her teen years assisting at conventions and intensives training under choreographers such as Jackie Sleight, Christian Vincent, DJ Guthrie, Shauna Zambelli, Gev Manoukian, Matt Dorame, and many others. Once she graduated High School, Tara joined a contemporary-based company out in Milwaukee, WI. She performed in their shows as a company dancer, and soon after got asked to be their rehearsal director. After spending the next year teaching, Tara decided it was time to take her training to the west coast. Packing up and moving out to Los Angeles, Tara was soon signed with Go 2 Talent Agency, and had a regular schedule of taking class from a plethora of choreographers that inspired her to move in the first place. Unfortunately, after being out in LA just shy of a year, Tara got injured and decided it was best to move back home to Michigan for needed surgery and recovery. Because of all this, she has found her passion for teaching and body awareness constantly growing, leading her to partner with Rylie McHale, where they have come together to open Inferno Dance Co.
